Wealth, 2006–2009

In developing a visual vocabulary an artist selects images to represent ideas, concepts. As I got more involved in metal casting I started to think about the values of the recycled metals used to created art objects. A cluster of cans or discarded aluminum frames can become anything. In my case, it became the first of a searies about weath, a lif-sized aluminum teabag. That teabag came to be a representation of wealth and the power that can come with money––the potato became the opposite.
